Michael O'Neill said he met Dunne about a move to the North.
Think we will be seeing more and more of this

So is this supposed agreement between the O'Neill's only work one way? Martin isn't allowed approach players from the North but Michael can try and get players from here?

If Martin isn't prepared to chase players from the North over a gentleman's agreement then it's another tick in the box of why he shouldn't be our manager...

Really? I'd look at it the other way, that he's respecting the agreement, Michael is the one at fault here

What a bitter comment this is.

Seriously though, I'm delighted for him. To be called up after 15 minutes of U-21 football - he must have been very good in those 15 minutes."

In my opinion no gentleman's agreement should exist on the matter. Part of Martin's job is to find eligible players that will improve us on the pitch. I'm sure a lot of players up North would be more than willing to have a conversation about representing us should they get a call. This is a stance that Martin has taken, not the FAI as far as I'm aware. Surely this is a conflict of interest?

the only true way to be a Gentleman about this is for Martin O'Niell to pro-actively recruit and encourage any Irishman who can and wishes to play for their national team. that is the only gentleman's agreement that should be in place

Quite farcical that Micheal O’Neill and Gareth Southgate are tapping up our players, and we are doing nothing. Get Keano
on a coffee tour of Belfast!

The Nordies are back sniffing around Jimmy Dunne.

Hopefully Mick has no problem speaking with Hazard, Smyth or Lavery about playing for us.

Dunne would be mad to consider switching he is close to his breakthrough with us, he just needs to wait another year or two.

I'd be amazed if he switched, can't see it happening.
