Would have likely had interest alright a couple of seasons ago when his stats for League 1 were pretty good! You have to kick on at some stage and he’s stagnated/flattened out a bit as a result! Only natural!

I know he has detailed rough personal circumstances recently too relating to himself and his partner! Could be a factor in him not leaving!

6 goals in 28 games isn't a bad return or in xxxx mins as some posters might say. Don't write this fella off yet.

He has 1 goal in League 1 this season, despite being fit pretty much all season long. It's a shocking return for a player who will turn 27 before the season ends.

League 1 is a rubbish standard of football.

I think he was being facetious. You know how when fans criticise Will Smallbone on a forum they're wrong and when fans praise Armstrong Okoflex they're right. The kind of green/granny tinted nonsense where you're not allowed criticise any player unless it's Hourihane or Hendrick. That kind of thing.

Please explain what "green/granny tinted nonsense" means and how it applies to Armstrong Okoflex.

Smallbone's mother is Irish. Not his grandmother - although there's a good chance his mother's mother is Irish too but I won't speculate.

Has never kicked on after a good couple of years initially. Probably should have pushed more for an upward move when it was there for him. As mentioned, there are much more talented young players like Okoflex, Smallbone, Ronan, Azaz, Ebosele etc ahead of him now so it's unlikely he'll find his way back into the senior set up.
We're decent enough..

Mick reported to be plotting his first Irish move at Blackpool to bring Curtis in. Curtis is out of contract this summer so potentially going cheaply.

Wouldn't be shocked if he made a move for Duffy too.

Mick getting the band back together. Is Terry Connor back as no.2? Wonder if he'll try to sign Jack Byrne again :)

Yeah I doubt Blackpool have the money, and they'll likely have a new manager in the summer plus could be in League One.

Seems Fulham will have to cancel one of their current loan signings so Duffy might be heading back to Brighton but doubt Blackpool could even afford him.

Has done his ACL. Not ideal timing for him with his contract up at the end of the season.

Yes, but still with Portsmouth unpaid getting treatment to recover from an ACL injury. Can't see him making any sort of comeback even at the level of L1.

I'd say there's zero chance he won't make the comeback at League One. He's at his peak and has been a very good player at that level for some time. It's incredibly rare that high level athlete's don't return to their previous level after an ACL injury these days.
