Hit the post too. Raggett and Harness also on for Portsmouth. Forde, Sykes and Kelly all on the bench for Oxford.

probably should have also won a pen in stoppage time. If Pompey don’t get promoted does he get a transfer to a Championship club?

Probably could have had one sooner. Leeds, Blackburn and Derby among the clubs scouting him and he has reportedly turned down a couple of offers to sign a longer contract with Portsmouth.

Hopefully gets a move to the Championship now that Pompey aren't going up

Pity, Portsmouth going up could have seen himself, Harness, and Raggett playing prominent roles in the Championship next season.

Oxford have Anthony Forde and Nico Jones on their books, but neither of them would be likely to nail down a starting berth if they go up.
We're decent enough..

Oxford have Liam Kelly too on loan from Feyenoord, maybe he'll stay with them. Also Mark Sykes, who is an NI underage international who may be open to a switch. Sean Raggett's contract is I think up at Norwich, who loaned him to Portsmouth, so who knows where he will go next. Curtis and Harness are certainly good enough for the Championship and may wish to move now for the sake of their own careers.

Brentford now favourites to sign Curtis, according to The72. Ironic if he ends up playing in the Premiership rather than the Championship next season as a result of Portsmouth's defeat.

Curtis would not be able for the premiership. He’s a lower half championship player at best and should be nowhere near the international setup

Thanks for that Pep.

In all seriousness, the EPL would be a massive step up, and ideally you'd like to see if he can cut it in the Championship first. However, he has shown himself to be an outstanding L1 player, so if Brentford want to take a punt on him then best of luck to him.

Fair play to the lad he has done well the last two seasons at Portsmouth and would be nice to see him get a move to the championship where he needs to be playing to get any look in with the senior team. Seen him a good few times at Derry and once or twice with the U21s and thought he was rather poor but obviously has worked hard and it’s paid off for him.

He has been very good and Brentford are renowned in England for their data and scouting networks and being able to pick out a bunch of rough diamonds and cheap players. If it is Brentford he goes to then it is great for him. They are the 2nd best footballing team in the championship behind Leeds and they will get promoted this year either way imo.

Best of luck to the lad but don't think he's good enough for the squad so far.

Would be great to see him in the Championship next season and see how he gets on.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

He has looked to be out at sea any time I've seen him play for us - loads of endeavour but at present isn't international standard. A move up a division may bring him on greatly of course.

Phil Hay at The Athletic (who is extremely reliable and well informed on Leeds transfer dealings)

"Portsmouth winger Ronan Curtis, who scored 14 goals in all competitions as his club made this season’s League One play-offs, is another potential match on paper."

Would be some move for the lad.

That would be a jump.

I was thinking it was a bit of a jump too but he's 24 with lots of first team games under his belt. Good time to be ambitious

And I've heard similar things of Enda Stevens and Egan when they went to the Premier League and they've been fantastic this seasons.
