Brutal stuff yesterday, got what was deserved but end of the road talk for this team is a bit premature. End of the road for Malachy though id imagine as things needs freshening up. I thought he'd go after the SF defeat to Britain last season.

Fair play to Cyavan, any underdog that beats their rivals for the first time in 18 years deserve to celebrate. Absolutely huge day for them yesterday to claim our scalp and no matter what happens now, they’ve just had a fantastic summerClap

Great game in Newry
I think each team was dead and buried at a stage in the game but came back.
The Mooney red was very harsh IMO, Down would have won otherwise

Absolute hammering dished out in Portlaoise Dublin 5-21  Louth 0-10

Rossies beat Mayo 2-12 to 0-17 after Mayo missed a free in the last minute to level it Shocked
Eamonn Dunphy:"I'll tell you who wrote it, Rod Liddle, he's the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one".

Bill O'Herlihy: Ah ye can't be saying that now Eamonn

Very enjoyable game there,

Mayomark, not trying to be a wum, but 16k at a Championship game at home, not on RTE, is that a lot less than expected? I thought Mayo had sold out all their season tickets for the last few years, brought 10k to NY etc.

29k for the Galway game in Castelbar last year, is interest finally waning in the Mayo4Sam camp?

Again, not trying to hit a man when he's down, just wodnering if that's all that would have been expected for a major provincial game.

Satuday night games never attract huge crowds! If that game was on tomorrow you'd have another 5,000- 10,000 possibly at it

20k announced at the game shedite and definitely more than that at it. Was a huge crowd. Pathetic atmosphere though.

Rossies well worth their win. We are somehow still picking the same fella in goal.
They finally did it man... They killed my f**kin' car...

In fairness to them it's their first championship win over Mayo in Castlebar since 1986

Well entitled to. Massive win and thoroughly deserved. As horrible as it was, the scenes were class at the end

Yeah not saying it's a bad thing. Hopefully that spurs them on rather then get carried away before the galway match. The big 3 in connaught could all still make the super 8's.

4th Connacht Final in a row between Roscommon and Galway now, the province could do with a 3rd team  Wink
