Agreed, media making it all about Cluxton not getting it instead of talking about the man who did. Actually thought Brody of Laois was close enough too, had a really good year for them

This is a story though - If somebody said to you that a member of the last 4 All-Ireland wining teams hadn't won an All Star in that period, they you'd assume he was a weak link in that team or something.
When you know it's a player like Cluxton who as redefined the position, that'll explain why it is a story.

And Beggan is a fine keeper who had a very good year.

Why the laughter ? Think you'd struggle to find many GAA fans who would disagree with that statement.

Cluxton's a great keeper and far from a weak link but hasn't deserved an award ahead of each of the previous years winners. He was just outperformed over the season, simple as. He can't get an All Star out of sympathy. Beggan deserved it ahead of him this year

There is a small element of the Dublin fanbase that won't be happy and think the entire world is out to get the Dubs unless Dublin get all 15 All Stars, POTY and YPOTY.

Beggan fully deserved it in my view and that is no slight on Cluxton.

Never understood people getting their knickers in a knot over the All Stars.

At the end of the day the Dubs have done 4 in a row and 6 of the last 8. I am sure stephen will not lost too much sleep over it.

He didn't have enough big saves to make to warrant an All Star for me.

My hole was Clarke better than him in at least one of the two years

Clarke was better! Cluxton rarely makes any outstanding saves and similar to the Kilkenny hurling goalkeeper James McGarry it's not really his fault as the defence in front of him is so strong

Sure Cluxton has nothing to do in most games the Dubs played where as the Monaghan lad actually had to perform in games and I think earned his spot.
