Well done to Newport beating Middlesbrough 2 0 first time they've reached the fifth round since 1949.

Only 3 teams can win it and 2 of them are playing on Monday night.
Like the league cup I can see City getting a nice draw to the final and winning it. The domestic treble is on!

Fair play Newport restricting city to half chances in the first half but looking at the players on the city bench I can only see one outcome.

I can understand Pep playing Sane, Otamendi, Jesus etc but why is KDB, Silva, Fernandinho anywhere near this game.

Not with the League cup final next weekend.
He probably needs to win one of the two games tho.

Yeah doubt he'd be sacked if they lost tonight, but if he also lost League cup on Sunday he'll be gone I'd say.

A lot of talk that Zidane is being lined up  for end of the season but he wants the 200m and Hazard to stay which I can't see happening.

The only thing is if Sarri does go would it be given to Zola until end of the season or who'd come in?

Newport keeper will be disappointed he didn't save 3 of the City goals on Saturday

Yeah he could have done better. Made a few good saves tho.

What did you think of the line up Baggio?
It was totally unnecessary imo.

As long as City avoid Man U/Chelsea away in the next round I see them winning it.
They are 7/2 for the domestic treble....

Wouldn't have started Fernandinho. No complaints about the rest in hindsight. You could say Ederson should have been given a rest but they probably would have been 1-0 down without him, and he hardly used up much energy. The main thing was getting through and no injuries picked up on a bad pitch.

The main conclusion to take from the lineup is that Pep is going all out to win as many trophies as possible.

Manchester Utd make four changes from the defeat to PSG - in come Romero, Smalling, Mata and Lukaku.

They replace De Gea, Bailly, Lingard and Martial.

Chelsea go back to full strength as they make six changes from the Europa League side on Thursday.

Higuain, Hazard and Pedro are in attack.
