I’m surprised the domestic treble hasn’t been done before.
Liverpool must have come close in the 80’s

I remember Man U nearly did it in 94 (Villa beat them in the league cup final).

Liverpool if I'm not mistaken were going for it in '83 and United beat them in the FA Cup semis.

while liverpool won a lot in the late 70's 80' the fa cup was the weak point...two defeats v brighton , one at anfield...manu 83... arsenal after 3 replays in 79 or 80 i think
Come on Irelind

50/50 game LOL

You're definitely looking for a few bites with that one

Its a 50-50 game. City have had a week of celebrating while Watford rested their whole starting XI for the league game on Sunday. Also, the way Watford came back from 2-0 down in the closing minutes to win in extra time against Wolves in the semi final suggests to me that their name is on the cup this year.

Watford defender Jose Holebas is available for Saturday’s FA Cup final after his red card against West Ham was rescinded.

As least the cup final is on the BBC as well as BT Sport.

17.00 ko again though.

Haha I'll rephrase it. I've an irrational dislike of Troy Deeney.

7th is far more likely to result in a European qualification spot than winning the FA Cup. Of course, no one really *wants* the Europa League spot for 7th, seeing as it requires that team to play three rounds of Europa League qualifiers before the group stage. Last year, that started on 26 July. That was only 11 days after the World Cup final. It makes it a very long season. It definitely didn't help Burnley, seeing as it was six games (two with extra time) before the season had really started, yet their early season form was awful, possibly partially as a result.

Anyway, Wolves are probably more likely to qualify for the Europa League by beating United and losing to Watford than if they'd lost to United and beat Watford (albeit winning the FA Cup would get you directly into the Europa League group stage, starting in September, without that shi*tty July nonsense).

Considering they already had one fantastic night under the lights against Man Utd already this season in the bank, I wonder, if they had their time again, would Wolves bust their guts in midweek and played all their first team instead of conserving a bit of energy for the semi? Does feel like they could have done with a bit left in the tank today

Looks around 60% full. Brighton have 10k more than City.
Bring back the neutral venues around the country.

Poor turnout.

Unfortunately I think tomorrow will be the same.
A lot of corporate seats will be empty.

Wasn’t a great game yesterday. The game needed Brighton to score early. Once City scores you knew it was over.
