Did play there during a pre season tour in America, and sometimes played there for Bayern at underage level. It's something they do when you look at the players they've had over the years that could play midfield and fullback.

He can be our David Alaba.

Well fortuna sittard were 1-3 up at one point and lost the game 4-3 in the last ten minutes.

He had a decent game all round .. defensively average . Had a decent shot and a header that weren’t far off target. Fantastic atmosphere at that game .

Good to see he's finally getting games, even if it's not in his favoured position. First foray into senior football, getting any gametime is a positive step.

Just switched it on to see where hes playing, Livescore had him down RW in a 442 but they look to be playing 433 with him on the right of the 3 man midfield. Playing a lot higher up the field.

Lovely. That's great to see. Maybe their plan all along was to ease him in gradually.

Gone from the squad now again, disappointing.

Best thing for him if he's not gonna start for the U21s and he's gotten some game time at club level because of injury. Let him remain at the club to train and play in the friendly game.

Don't see the issue here either, well explained by Crawford too

Yep.
Johansson has his head screwed on.
He wants to play for us but knows he needs to be playing well for his club to improve his Ireland chances and look, the club career is the main career.

I fully respect this call and hope he can keep his starting place in that team and push on as the season progresses.

Couldn't Conor Noss say no to a call-up, saying that he's on the cusp at Borussia Monchengladbach, making the bench in League and European games, and would be better served trying to finally break through there rather than similarly sitting on the bench for us?

I'm sure any player who's not getting into the first XI could have a similar phonecall TBH.

He looks the spit of the Swedish actor who plays the sh*te Pennywise in the It remake BTW.

I think the difference is that Ryan's team had a friendly planned and had him down to play in it, so he had a solid option of a club-match.
Not sure BM would have a match for Noss to play in over the break.

I'm not too worried about Johannsson staying at home. He's barely featured for us and he's already tied to us, so no worries about defecting.

There's ability there and his head is very much in the right place trying to get game time.

I'm surprised Noss hasn't played more for us, he looks bright whenever he has come on.

One club is Fortuna Sittard where Johansson went to get actual games. The other club is Borussia Mochengladbach where Noss is not expected to get games. There's a big difference there.
