I wonder did they somehow forget to include a recall clause or something? Like they just figured "this lad is highly rated, so he'll obviously play every week at Fortuna".

Definitely want to see him back in with the U21s, his physicality was badly missed vs that huge Montenegro side, they dominated Tierney, Kilkenny & Coventry in the middle.

Surely a different loan over that would have seem johansson get more game time would have been better.

Fortuna Sittard have 3 wins in 20 games so they're not exactly doing very well and would have probably benefited from a loan deal that would have suited their needs better.

A bizarre move indeed.

Sittards season ended today and he played just 6 times in the League and twice in the cup totaling 386 minutes of football over the course of the season. Mostly out of position at full back too.

No idea why his Sevilla didnt look to send him somewhere else in January.

Keeping in mind the Eredivise stopped for a month for their mid season break.

Cheers.  He looks in fantastic shape going by the photo. Fingers crossed but it’ll be great to see him come good out of all this.

He's barely played, just 6 appearances. Fortuna are in a relegation battle and seem reluctant to give him much of a run. Would be best for both parties if they ended the laon so he can go to a level where he'll get games & they can get in a MF who is a lot more experienced to help in a relegation fight.

Yeah, the big difference being he'd be playing in one and not the other LOL

I'm sure any player who's not getting into the first XI could have a similar phonecall TBH.

He looks the spit of the Swedish actor who plays the sh*te Pennywise in the It remake BTW.

One club is Fortuna Sittard where Johansson went to get actual games. The other club is Borussia Mochengladbach where Noss is not expected to get games. There's a big difference there.

I'm not too worried about Johannsson staying at home. He's barely featured for us and he's already tied to us, so no worries about defecting.

There's ability there and his head is very much in the right place trying to get game time.

I'm surprised Noss hasn't played more for us, he looks bright whenever he has come on.

I think the difference is that Ryan's team had a friendly planned and had him down to play in it, so he had a solid option of a club-match.
Not sure BM would have a match for Noss to play in over the break.

Yep.
Johansson has his head screwed on.
He wants to play for us but knows he needs to be playing well for his club to improve his Ireland chances and look, the club career is the main career.

I fully respect this call and hope he can keep his starting place in that team and push on as the season progresses.
