I can’t find a better summation of Irish players general luck at the moment then this.
Between lads losing places and getting injuries like this and they about to get rolling we seem to be cursed at the moment. Something that will really hurt him mentally. He was very close to making his debut and he needs to use that for motivation for his recovery now no doubt his chance will come again.

Likely to at least be back on the bench next week against Sevilla. The two players who got sent off yesterday are both defenders.

Brilliant stuff. A great move for him in the sense worst case scenario he was jumping from Italian 3rd to Spanish 3rd division in the B team so nothing to lose and if he starts breaking into their team then a huge deal.

Ryan on the bench for Getafe today. Some turnaround for him last few weeks from lads saying his career was over after being released from a Serie C team to making the squad in a La Liga. Great to see.
