Assuming you were walking at a pace of 10 minutes per kilometer, a 75km walk would take you 12.5 hours. Now according to yourself you were stopping in multiple pubs on the way there (although I'm not sure why a main road between two cities would be littered with pubs, unless you took the back roads of course) so that would have increased your journey time. Say you stayed an average of 20 minutes in each pub and you called into 5 pubs. That's another 1 hour 40 minutes on to your journey. That's a grand total of 14 hours 10 minutes. Of course once you got there you then had to get back! Did you walk back too? Are you sure you aren't confusing this with a dream?

Like a junior cert maths question

A man on the internet boasts that he walked 75km from one city to another whilst also milling pints in each pub along the route. He travels the first half of the journey at 21km/hr and the second half at the rate of 17km/hr. Find the total journey time.

Heading to vegas in the Autumn for four nights, staying on the strip, besides drinking cans in my room any recommendations for decent happy hours or bottomless drinks?

What hotel are you in?
There are a few bars down near the bottom of the strip, beside New York New York and the Irish bar 9 fine Irishmen, that have good happy hours in the evening. We were there around 11-12 at night and the happy hour was on.
Restaurant in the Cosmopolitan hotel called the Wicked Spoon that does bottomless champagne for 17 dollars for breakfast/lunch.

You could walk to Los Angeles and stop off in every pub on the way for a pint.

There's a horse racing machine in the MGM that's quite popular, it's 25c a bet and similar enough to the ones you find in amusements here. The little plastic horses bob along and I think you bet on 1st & 2nd. Get yourself a $10 roll of quarters, if you can get a seat at the machine plonk you arse down, bet slowly on the game and order drinks off the waitresses that come along. Make sure you tip them $1-$2 every time you get a drink and they'll come back. I've spent many hours sitting at that machine getting rat arsed for next to nothing.

The Casino Royale on The Strip, across from the Mirage and roughly next to Denny's, do $1 bottles of beer and $1 Marguaritas. That's cheaper than cans and you get to lob a few bucks on the roulette and try and double your cash on red&black.

It's real Old world Vegas, not the swanky new look. A few spots on Fremont street in Downtown Vegas do buffet deals and drink deals too.

Don't get ripped off by the swanky new spots like The Wynn, Encore, Bellagio etc.

Sure people just go away to make people back home jealous. LOL

Last year I went to Lake Garda and Venice for 10 days.

In Lake Garda you either had people there for the activities (hiking, cycling etc) or lots of retired German folks for relaxing.
The lake was beautiful and you could get boats to different parts of it. Lots of restaurants all around it and little shops. The food and drink was cheap - a half litre of wine was the same price as a beer so you drank wine all day!
There was no selfie sticks or even selfies. People were friendly and talked to each other.

Then we went to Venice which was an amazing city but ruined by the gobsh1tes there. There is something like 70-100k tourists there during the summer months and they are just c**ts.
Americans with GoPro camera on selfie sticks blocking everybody, people would stand on your head to get a better selfie.
All those little backpackers with “wish you were here signs”
All the cruise ships go there so in the day time it’s just nuts.
Lovely city but I wouldn’t go back in the summer months.

As somebody said in the other thread re Croatia, avoid all the places cruise ships go (in the summer months anyway).

ZK we honeymooned in Garda and really liked it but I must say the Austrian lakes outside  Salzburg beat it hands down
