Wouldn't put too much blame on Neto for it, I think the bounce made it very awkward for him. It was far too easy for Lacazette to get his head on it though, the "marking" from Roncaglia was laughable

certainly wouldn’t be putting any blame on Neto for anything I thought he’s been decent. Some terrible defending by both teams

It'll be a big ask for Valencia to make the final now, they had a very good chance at 2-1, but that late goal for Arsenal gives them a huge advantage. The one thing in their favour is Arsenal's away form, but I'm not sure they'll keep a clean sheet

The last goal definitely made a big difference. Arsenal's away form has been pretty shambolic but the important thing for them is that they are not out of the tie now unless Valencia are 4-0 up in the second leg. That looks quite unlikely. Valencia's plan this evening was quite specifically to play on the counter attack. Now that Arsenal are 3-1 up, they can run a similar game plan in Valencia, with the pace of Aubameyang a bigger plus for them than anything that Valencia had this evening. The first Arsenal goal is very much the type of goal they can expect to score in Valencia, provided Valencia do not go 2-0 up early in the game. I think Arsenal will have enough chances to score, and more as the game goes along. Aside from the first 15 minutes tonight, and a few short spells in the second half, Arsenal were the stronger team tonight. Having said all that, for Arsenal to win the competition with a central midfield pairing of Guendouzi and Xhaka shows how poor they are and how poor the Europa League as a tournament is. Xhaka gives it away too much and has too much faith in his own ability. Guendouzi is tenacious enough and mobile but he is still far from a top level central midfielder. If they are all that is required in central midfield to make a Europa League final (leaving aside the ongoing sporadic contributions of Ozil), it speaks volumes of the competition. Still, they went from marginal odds against to semi-comfortable odds on to make the final as a result of that late Auba goal, which Auba's play tonight at least deserved. I wonder how many he would score for City or Liverpool, because he's a very good player, and he's had reasonable spells this season on the wing and in a spluttering team.

If Arsenal and Chelsea get through tonight England will become the first country ever to have all four finalists in the finals of the CL and EL.

Well, thats Arsenal through to the final anyway. Almost identical to the first leg, great start from Valencia, Arsenal much the better side since the equaliser. Aubameyang and Lacazette have been brilliant

Brilliant performance from Aubameyang. His work-rate in getting back to help Maitland-Niles at times was excellent. Great finishes for the goals too.
In the Chelsea game, David Luiz playing like his controller is frozen again.
