Frankfurt 1-0 up at the San Siro.
Any sort of a draw will be good enough for them now

Krasnodar's goal with 5 minutes to go was a screamer and would have put them through on away goals. Valencia end up scoring with 40 seconds left of added time to go through instead.
Rennes have been poor so far but they weren't great until towards the end of the first half of the first leg so I wouldn't say they're out of it just yet. Can see someone being sent off in this game.

Finished 1-0 you'd have to say a loss in the Milan derby at the weekend and it may be curtains for Spaletti

Mourinho is waiting for this one to become available. The icardi situation has turned What could have been a potentially good season into a car crash .

was always confident arsenal would overturn the deficit and go through. it was nervy though until they got the 3rd goal but they were by far the better team tonight. arsenal were simply sensational in the first 15 minutes.

Yup. Auba has been a decent signing but he only has two seasons left in him at the top level, with his age and playing style. He is lean but the thirties will catch up with him eventually.

Kudos, cos they're a small club, by general German standards, and that's quite a number to take to any away midweek European game. On the other hand, it's a direct train journey, about seven hours, or motorway driving the whole way, so it's not actually a massive journey by the usual standards of European football. It's not much more than Derry to Cork, but when you can actually drive on motorway the whole way / get a direct train, it's not quite the same as a journey that demands flying like, say, Dublin to Paris, which is possibly a shorter journey in a straight line.

Eintracht Frankfurt are a big club by German standards, the 5th highest average home attendance in the Bundesliga this season at 49,125. Even with Hamburger SV and 1fc.Koln in the Bundesliga last season Eintracht Frankfurt had the 7th highest average home attendance in the Bundesliga at 49,159. Eintracht Frankfurt have brought a large number of supporters to away games in European competitions in recent years, the away game in Porto in 2014 springs to mind. This season they had 25,000 applicants for tickets for the away game with Lazio who would only allocate them 8,500 tickets. Edited by Mulvanystrasse - 15 Mar 2019 at 6:18am |

So six English sides in the last 8 of the two euro comps , not bad when you think that only 7 teams entered for England . I wonder what happens to the 7th team

Only a snippet but they had 15k plus a few thousand more dotted around the stadium according to some. Easily the best supported team in Germany this season https://eintracht-online.net/fotos/album/uefa-europa-league-18-19/18-19-europaleague-fc-internazionale-milano-eintracht-frankfurt |

There'll be a few teams hoping M.City win the FA Cup this season:
If Sergio Aguero and Co do not win the FA Cup it will mean the team that finishes sixth in the Premier League will begin next season's Europa League in the second qualifying round - on July 25. That would be because if any of the other semi-finalists (Wolves, Watford or Brighton) were to win the FA Cup they would go straight into the group stage and leave sixth place in the Premier League to go through the qualifying route. However if City were to win the final at Wembley on May 18, and because they look certain to finish in the top two anyway, sixth place would go into the group stage of the Europa League and the team that finishes seventh in the Premier League (currently Wolves) would enter the qualifying campaign. Beginning their continental campaign at that stage will mean playing qualification matches from July 25, leaving a team's pre-season preparations in disarray and an extremely heavy workload so early in the campaign. |

Woeful stuff from Napoli. I've never seen an Italian team give the ball away as much. Both Arsenal goals were their own doing.
Their No 8 Fabian has given away every ball non-stop and caused the second goal.
