Replace 'violent conduct' with 'a pathetic hissy fit' and Mr. Sutton was spot on.

You can't go scraping lads, always thought as kids that any purposeful contact with the face/head of an opponent with your hand would be red.

He gave the ref a decision to make and if he thought he pulled his hair or scraped him, which it looked like, he had to go, was stupid.

KARMA !!!
CRonaldo has had his fair share of hissy fits over the years getting players sent off, Rooney at WC06 etc.

Chris Sutton the worst pundit on television in talking bollocks shocker.

Would rather listen to Garth Crooks

Sutton is usually on with everything he says - but he's woefully wrong on this one.

I had to watch this back about 5 times and not sure even if Ronaldo deserved a yellow.

It was far across the sea,
When the devil got a hold of me,
He wouldn't set me free,
So he kept me soul for ransom.

What? LOL
He's more off than out of date milk!

Literally everything he says, except Scottish football, is said to try and get himself trending for being controversial.

Calling the red card last 'violent conduct' is a prime example of a melodramatic fanny he is

Ronaldo only given a one match ban for a straight red.

Very convenient

As far as I know the rule for a straight red for violent conduct (which the ref obviously believed was the case) should be a 3 match ban.

but just like the WC when he should have been sent off the powers that be have a little whisper and come to conclusion that we can't ban Ronaldo for 3 games.

You sound like an idiot.

In the Champions League - a straight red is a 1 match ban, unless deemed a lot more serious in the aftermath

Sorry, was a wee bit blunt, been flat out in work.

But yeah I don't think it was a red in the first place myself

No need to apologise  actually found it funny

I don't think it was a red card myself, and as I stated in my original post I said as far i know a red card is a 3 match ban like it is in say the PL
