A fine victory indeed for rationality over mindless bureaucracy.

...So with both Wenger AND Zidane now available, Deschamps pretty much has to win the World Cup to keep his job, doesn't he?

About 8pm. Sydney is only 9 hours ahead at this time of the year

Normally they have two matches on the first day, then ten days of three matches, before the end of the groups.

This time, they have only one match on the opening day. As a result, the first Saturday has four games.

It was just luck of the draw that the Aussies were in the 11am match.

I'd be surprised if Australia even got a goal in this group.

Another team who were absolutely brutal but managed to qualify. Still relying on Tim Cahill in 2018.. Aaron Mooy is a decent player but they should be getting destroyed.

I'd certainly agree with that I've got them in the sweeps at work!

The managerial upheaval won't have helped either. In saying that, I still don't think they will be destroyed. They will struggle for goals, they may not score any at all, but they won't be hammered either. Expect them to get one scoreless draw and a couple of respectable defeats.
