With its 3000 seats, less than the capacity of Oriel I'd imagine, as was said above it's not that long ago Dundalk played in front of tiny crowds, not as if they're short on money now either. Would love to be able to be winning loads, in Europe, have investment and giving out about neighbours getting a small public stadium.

Everyone in Dundalk knows that, our core now is 2000-2500 which is excellent for a town with our population.

But it's not as if Drogheda have a say in this, FAI own United Park (as far as I'm aware), they have the power to knock it down, sell it and move on Drogheda somewhere else. It's not in their interest to build Dundalk a new stadium and hand the keys over for nothing. Your 50,000 seater will be built by the yanks anyway so not sure why it's bothering you's so much. The 50 people was tongue in cheek too so you can all put your attendance stats away.

What makes you think I care about drogheda? My issue is with Louth county council, they wouldn't so much as put up a single flag for Dundalk over the last number of years, they wouldn't help with a homecoming after we wen the double. Then there was the money they demanded for levys from Dundalk over the ydc which was built by Gerry Matthews. So to see them go from that attitude towards us to help construct a new modern stadium for drogheda is a bit much. I wouldn't expect you to know any of this

new stand in talla is coming along well, but 2 things annoying me about it.
1, why is it so far from the pitch? Same with east stand. 2, the stairwell being dead centre behind the goal bugs me a bit for some reason

It wpuld make common sense for the FAI and the GAA to go halves on a 10,000 capacity stadium in Drogheda.
