Getting back to the thread title...

I reckon Doyle starts in goals, O hara in at half time

Long, Duffy, Clarke - Full backs
Coleman, Doherty - Wing backs
Rice, Hourihane, McClean in the middle
Long and Hogan up top.

With Maguire still coming back from injury, I think O'Neill will use him off the bench, like at Preston.

Then Stevens, Browne and O'Kane also to be introduced off the bench....but who knows with MON!

You asked if I'd be anyone from history, fact or fiction, dead or alive:
I said "I'd be Tony Cascarino, circa 1995"

Has to be Seani starting surely. Long should be nowhere near the team right now.

I read a quote from O'Neill he might play some of the game with 3-5-2. I think Coleman as a wing back would be good, get him forward more. If Ward is still the regular for  the competitive games he might be better off at left wing back as well

So am I.

I think it has to do with the potential showcasing of new players. I think we would all like to see Rice, Stevens, Doherty, Hourihane, Maguire and Hogan get a run out, with Coleman returning. Maybe O'Hara will get some time in goal. Either way, it is interesting from the point of view of potential

Swap Maguire for Long and I'd go with that.

Doherty is by far a better option over Stevens.
Doherty's form and improvement has been at right-back. That is his best position
