Paul Casey won (-10) against a strong field at the weekend with the best score of the day of 65.

The big news was Tiger was joint second on -9
Ahead of Garcia/Rose/Scott/McLlroy/Spieth

Be good to see Tiger back playing at a high level.
For me he is the best there ever was and ever will be.

This is his results from May 1999 (Deustche Bank) to June 2001 (Memorial Open)
1, 1, 3, 1, 7, 1, 37, 1, 1, 1, 1, 6, 1, 1, 2, 18, 2, 1, 2, 5, 4, 3, 1, 1, 23, 1, 11, 1, 1, 1, 3, 2, 5, 1, 8, 5, 13, 4, 13, 2, 1, 1, 1, 3, 1, 1

Think Tiger is third favorite for Masters. I agree will be good to see him back to his best, there seemed a time when he unstoppable and he was far beyond any other golfer, highlighted by the fact when he was out injured/ on leave he stayed number 1 for about a year and half before he was overtaken.

Tiger into 10/1 for the Masters now. An absolute farce of a price.

He might well be 'back' but in no way should he be that short.

bookies scared of him and always have bee,. in fairness, a lot of his play was in very good shape. watched his sat and sun back 9s, all aspects were working at some stage, but not necessarily all at the same time. bay hill invitational this week, a home from home for him. if he puts in another T5, then that 10/1 will shorten.

I love watching the younger lads like Spieth, Thomas etc but no player creates a buzz like Tiger.

Delighted with how he played over the four days, that stinger shot with the driving iron is a thing of beauty.

I have always maintained that there is a least one Major win left in him, so good to see him back playing well. Hopefully he can go a year or so injury free, even if he's a dick it would be good to see him on a Sunday fighting against the chung fellas

3rd favourite though...bit soon???

+1
No player provides that buzz like Woods does.
I presume viewing figures will be up for last weekend with Tiger in the hunt.
Great to see Phil winning in Mexico last week.
Spieth has the potential, DJ not so lovable, Rory should have stayed away from Wozniacki and the gym.

He’s actually the fav for the bay hill invitational tomorrow.
That’s crazy for somebody who has been injured for so long.
Only Tiger!

Looks like it's going to be a great final round at the Arnold Palmer. Rory at top of leader board, Tiger in contention

Fair fooks to Ian Poutler, long birdie putt on the last to force a playoff, after leading most of the day.
If he wins he gets into the Masters this week.

Poults
Eamonn Dunphy:"I'll tell you who wrote it, Rod Liddle, he's the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one".

Bill O'Herlihy: Ah ye can't be saying that now Eamonn

Fair play to Poulter - gets the final spot at the Masters next week.

I think it’s only Rory from Ireland playing next week.

The postman always delivers. Delighted for him.

Very good week for Paul Dunne also. Had he not had the disaster on the 8th hole it could have been a very different result for him.

Dunne is No75 in the world, just ahead of Lowry at 77.
Padraig is No 198 and GMac is now No. 217.

I thought Lowry would really kick on after his PGA win a few years ago.

Willet who won the Masters in 2016 in around the 300 mark now.

Masters Week is upon us Clap
Really hard to find value at the top of the market. Spieth in and around 16/1 looks too big and after a solid week in Houston I think represents good value.

Think the 28/1 on offer for Sergio Garcia is a mad price considering he's in good form and is defending champion.

Have also had a bet on Paul Casey at 25's and Marc Leishman at 55/1.
