http://spb2018.com/en/pages/Shuttle-buses/ ; Information  about  transport in Petersburg. And we don't have Taxi on streets, if you need a taxi you should order it by phone or app.  I'll try to find some taxi company with English  website or app and will post here.
PS there are taxi drivers in the airport who will offer you a taxi. Don't trust them,  prices are crazy.

Taxi in a Russia. Payment by credit card is possible in most companies,  but better to ask a dispatcher if the company accepts credit cards. After u book a car,  soon before departure  you'll get a text or a phone call with ID number and type of a car.

2 more important things about  Petersburg.
First: White Nights. From the end of may till the beginning of july. It means that it won't be dark during the nights. Twilight maximum. So you are lucky to come during this time. 
Second and probably more important. Raising bridges. It's beautiful  and exiting, should  be in your to do list here. But make sure that you are on the same side of the river, where your accommodation is. Because you can stuck on the other side till morning. 
Metro is closing at midnight in Petersburg, 1am in Moscow.

Oh,  one more thing I have to say.  Irish phones  won't work with Russian SIM cards. Have no idea why,  but I had this problem. Same with Russian phones in Ireland...
