You now have to register teams and players with the FAI aswell as the DDSL.

Last year u9s cost €50 per team - now costs €92

Last year u16s cost €75 per team - now costs €180

How many teams in the country ?
You do the maths.

I'd like to say I'm shocked but I'm not. Football in this country won't be able to move forward until Delaney and co are gone and proper people are put in place

I hear you Butch, I have to charge my lads €15 a week to play Junior Football, absolute nightmare.

We have our own pitch with floodlights but they're very average and when we train on the pitch it cuts up so it's either the gym or astro twice a week.

That's a ridiculous increase. How many teams is that for?

There is a gaa insurance scheme but it's not as comprehensive as s the one we use for our club.
And there is a lot more red tape associated with it.
This is adult level regards insurance not sure of the juvenile structure

I didn't want to start a new thread but Brian Kerr's article today is well worth a read. It's addresses a lot of the issues facing our game in Ireland from the bottom to the top.

I did a kickstart 1 coaching course recently. Just one day 9-5pm. 22 people in total for €45 a head which comes to €990. Shocking price to be charging. There was no way it cost that much to put on. As far as I could see no only one person there had to be paid.
