as ruby said prior to the arkle, when horse set off at a quick pace, there are no real tactics in play. tactics only come into play when it's a slower race and all runners are bunched. he kept footpad within reaching distance, and let the two front-runners tire out. very impressive performance, and would like to see what the finishing time was. reckon it was a very quick time!

Cracking race that. Geraghty's a hardy coont!

McG, Apples Jade should (and fooking better!) win the next but no real price for your fiver. Any Second Now in the last might be worth a shot but others here might know better

mares hurdle really is ruby/willie's race. they've won it 8 (RW) and 9 (WM) times respectively!!!

bookies were saved from a massive hit there. always tend to get one of the odds on favs on Day1 to bottle it!!

Yeah, been very entertaining to watch, pretty good for the punters too. Very excited to see how Samcro gets on tomorrow.

The ride Jack Kennedy gave Apples Jade was absolutely pathetic. If a more experienced man was on board he runs a very different race.

Now not into horse racing but what really gets me is that I know 3 lads who have taken the week off work to watch the racing  down the pub in Galway . Wacko

First up no racing on Monday so why take the day off ?

First race is something like 1.30pm so why not work in the morning ?

And lastly the 3 guys I know work in the same plant they know everything about racing and they are as poor as I am .
