Looks like Alisson will play on Sunday as he was unable to travel to Brazil for his father's funeral due to Covid restrictions.

It was stupid to play him against City, after being ill during that week. It would be stupid to play him this week, when he can't be fully focused on the job, and has probably missed a fair amount of training time beforehand.

That said, nobody knows if Kelleher is actially fit to play or not. He went to Budapest for the game there, then was missing the next game again. There's no info about him available and no journo seems that interested in finding out what's going on. Confused

Adrian starting. Where is Kelleher and what’s wrong that he’s been injured the last 4 weeks. Just infuriating as it would be a major opportunity and would probably see him wrap up the argument as to who starts in March for us?

It's hilarious how many Irish players are injured at the moment, even by our standards.

Aside from the high profile ones, there's Derrick Williams, Danny Grant, Chiedozie Ogbene, Callum O'Dowda and Sean Maguire injured as well - and that's just the top 2 divisions.

When is he expected back?

Liverpool have some 18 year old GK on the bench.

The young keeper on the bench is Liam Hughes from Dungannon, signed from Celtic.

Kenny's luck really doesn't appear to be changing.

Even if Kenny has made the decision to play kelleher next month, the optics of him playing a couple of more games would have really helped and justifed that transition.

Hughes is one of TWO gk's on the L'pool bench, the other being a Polish kid, Jakub Ojrzynski, who passed a late fitness test after overcoming a bad case of teenage acne:

Anyhow, Hughes (squad number 98!) was signed as a "Training Goalkeeper" i.e. not expected to play, but instead to assist in training - more here:
