Not in my book. People are making the 'two draws' prediction as if this was two matches in the middle of the qualifying campaign. A one off cup final to qualify is a completely different beast to the qualifiers - no team can "settle for a draw" in a cup final.

And yet, 3 of the last 6 champions league finals - and two of the last four FA cup finals - were draws.

A far more relevant stat is that no WC play off in Europe has ever ended in two draws. One team has always come good and won one of the matches. There's way too much talk about the away goal rule too - it rarely if ever comes into play in the play offs, as they are nearly always won on aggregate by one team.

This is a must win game and in the recent past the team has won these type of games. In both campaigns we have suffered a drop in form when a draw would do.

However when we needed to beat Germany, Italy and Wales we did, and those teams were better than Denmark.

Under O'Neill we have been at our best when there was no room for manoeuvre. And that's the way it is again tonight. History to repeat itself and an Ireland win.

Point taken but I suppose we're due one so :-)

What has gone on in the past has no bearing on what will happen tonight. It's like saying number 7 is due on the Lotto, cos it hasn't come up in 6 months.

whoever is going tonite: please keep roaring encouragement to the team, even when the game is very tense. the atmosphere tonite will drive the team on and intimidate the danes. everyone going shud aim to be hoarse by the end of the game.

Think its gonna be an epic occasion with an epic result.

I know, but I've a funny feeling we'll see an outright winner tonight and no away goal. I'm just hoping and praying it's us and not them :)
