What? Don't tell me they've moved the game again!!! ShockedLOL

Anyway, that's my plan - to stay in Copenhagen the night before the match. I think the Christmas markets open that weekend as well so will have a nosey round them. Get the train to Aarhus (presuming the game is actually there!) the morning of the game, overnight there and train to CPH the following morning for the flight home.

Craic will be in Aarhus the night before, no need to stay in Copenhagen unless you've a specific reason, like the post above!

Looking like this game will be my first Ireland game of any sort since the home leg of the playoff so will be looking forward to catching up with a few of the regulars in Aarhus the night before the game !

Was the game originally mean't for Copenhagen? Didn't realize it was moved to Aarhus.

We're staying in Lubeck (Germany) on the Saturday and Sunday night. It looks a nice spot. Not sure about staying the Sunday night if Aarhus will be awkward to get to on match day.

Anyone ever been to Lubeck?

Well, so we thought. Quite a lot of us (myself included) booked travel and accomm shortly after the draw presuming the game would be in Copenhagen. But then in early May, the Danish FA announced that their home games in the Nations League would be played in Aarhus, a 3-hour train journey from Copenhagen.

Looks like you'd be in for quite a trek from Lubeck. Had a nosey at Bahn.com there and it looks like a journey of between 5 and 6 hours depending on which train you get but the prices aren't too bad if you book far enough in advance, about €30.  I'm just presuming for now that you'd be getting a train because I'm not sure if you'd be able to stick a longer journey by bus after a night on the sauce. LOL

Edit:  it looks like overland would be your best bet.  Had a look on Skyscanner and there's no direct flights from Lubeck or Hamburg to Aarhus.

Cheers Conor. We'll get an early train so we're there by the afternoon.

Only 20k seater stadium in Aarhus. You'd think the Danes wouldn't risk such a low capacity given it's a competitive game.

Hopefully we have something to play for going into that final game.

Considering it’s both a Monday night and the fact that the Danes struggled to even sell out there home leg of the playoff they probably think a capacity of 20k is enough

Fair enough but as bad our home support is at times, we'd have at least 30k home support in that match if the roles were reversed imo.

You’ll need to add profiles of each of the people your applying for to your account . But they should be able to set up There own accounts you don’t need to be a member of the fai . If there thinking ok going to games regularly setting up there own personal accounts is probably a better option

Huh? You've lost me.

I'm saying they've picked a stadium with a pretty low capacity so tickets could (probably not likely) be an issue.

What sort of price are you getting for it WR?  You can book train tickets 2 months in advance for between 130 and 200 DKK (including seat reservation fee) and there are trains leaving and arriving around the times that you've mentioned. That train journey is long enough at about 3 hours so it's probably longer by road (depending on traffic) and I'm f**ked if I'm gonna spend that long cooped up in a cramped minibus. LOL

Just saying that the train might be a better (and more comfortable) option depending on what price you may be getting for the minibus.  You might as well keep your options open anyway. Thumbs Up

You can book trains online at www.dsb.dk/en.
