It is all quite strange, McIntyre had done a very good job at Ross County and was sacked on the back of a short run of bad results. He won them a trophy and got them to two consecutive mid-table finishes, you have to wonder if they heard they could get the 'bigger' name in and decided to discard McIntyre because of that. They might well regret this.

He leaves Ross County Football Club rock bottom of the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership, with a big game at the weekend against Conor Sammon's Partick Thistle, who are 3 points and 1 place ahead of them.

Incredible to think he was once talked about in terms of succeeding Wenger at Arsenal. He claims he was offered the Celtic job in 2009 when Strachan left, but turned it down.
