He has certainly been in and out of the team this season, starting on the bench on occasion and getting subbed off early in other games. This may be related to last season's injury, I'm not sure but he's certainly not first name on the team sheet for Rotherham atm and as pointed out by others, he has started several games at wing back rather than higher up the pitch. I do think he will step up a division sooner rather than later and the exposure he has got in the last few games should stand to him.

He has done pretty good for us and maybe playing at this level will give him extra confidence.
Hopefully his club manager will take not and play him further up the pitch. Odd that be would do well at international level but then be stuck on bench at L1 level

Odd indeed and I think it really is to Kenny's credit that he plucked him from such relative obscurity and got him playing a very important role for us i.e. that powerful pacey option up top to press and harry defences and to run in behind when required. I also wouldnt rule him out as a potential option at RWB in the future if injuries required it given Coleman is pushing on in years, Doherty is struggling for game time and Christie is doing his best to emulate Fat Thor!

RWB could be an option. Coleman has just turned 33, Doherty turns 30 in Jan. Seamus has been a little injury prone and if he was to be out and then suddenly we lost Doherty throigh injury or suspension, then Ogbene could be a guy to step in, especailly if he is playing there with his club. Rotherham are flying high near the top of League 1. Be great to see them promoted and Ogbene get Championship football but the fans on their forum think he likely to move up to the Championship even if they dont.

His manager has said he can play anywhere including the number 9 role but he wants him to be primarily a winger.

Agreed, while utility players can be useful to a team, they often struggle to establish themselves. It is important for young players to learn specialist roles rather than being thrown in wherever is most expedient for the manager. Ogbene is primarily an attacker/winger for me and he should push to be played in the attacking third, especially if he moves on from Rotherham. Having said that, as I pointed out earlier, he could be a useful option at RWB if and only if injuries necessitate it.

A full season at League One might be no harm for Ogbene. But if he can build on a game like this when his stats haven't been all that great this season up to now in terms of assists and goals (albeit at wing back) then he might be able to consolidate his international appearances for us and earn a move.
As I said, he might just need games and I'm not sure how beneficial a Championship move would be unless the manager was willing to play to his strengths like Kenny is.

Great goal. Don't see the need for him to jump to the Championship just yet. In saying that, I haven't seen him linked with any clubs either so it might just be people over here linking him with such a move.
An uninterrupted season with Rotherham will be far more beneficial to him, and us.

Wins the ball back on the edge of his own box, runs it up the field and lays it off on the edge of the opposition box. Great stuff.
