I was actually at Millwall on the weekend (no idea why). Molumby was fantastic. Very good range of passing, can also hold his own defensively. He'll improve with experience but he seems to have the complete range of tools in his locker.
No thank you Turkish......I'm sweet enough

What kind of role does he play there at the moment?

When I've watched him play (on tv) he's been deployed in the holding midfield role.

I'd echo what bippity has said and add that he can receive the ball from defenders and get it to attacking players really really well.

He'll get better for sure and there are still things to improve on but I think he's currently better than the old guard

Is it strange he's not in Mick's extended 39-man squad?
I'd have had him in there, if only for the experience.
He's playing almost weekly in the Championship, no less than several of the named lads, more than a few and and no less than some who have gained recent caps.
Parrott, Obafemi, Kelleher & Nathan Collins all called in.  The first three will miss crucial U21 games if they make the final squad so seems odd Molumby isn't included also, considering his form.

They will come in very handy when he starts making the bench.

Probably agreed that he wouldn't decimate the u21 team by taking all the best performers.

I agree that molumby has been in good form and I can see him getting better as the season progresses

He should take who he wants. People need to let go of this idea that the underage teams is about success. It's about development. End of.

Everything under senior team is there to serve the senior team.

So half the team gets decimated. So what. Hopefully it just means a new crop of players come through. The way it should be.

Some good irish representation for millwall tonight.

Molumby seems to have nailed down his midfield spot

Playing in the holding midfield role, his positional sense seems really good and like in previous games his pass completion is always high.

Lots of energy and seems to get up and down the pitch. Fair to say he's had a decent enough half.

Wouldn't say he was amazing today but definitely a decent performance. Mature display for a young lad.

Thought he was anonymous in the 2nd half anyway. Williams is a very good footballer, pity he's 33.
We're decent enough..

Yes doesn't get many shout outs Shaun Williams but has been very influential for Millwall lately, much more so than Molumby. Used to lay for my local club too. No worse an option for Mick certainly than other midfielders in our squad.

Another 90 mins and good performance by him tonight.

If he keeps this up he should definitely be in the 23 for the playoff(s)
