In general you are correct. However we could have drawn Brazil in the Moscow Spartak stadium for example. In this case demand would have been off the wall. Of course Panama in Rostov-on-Don would have been a hard sell. I didn't apply for our TST in the end. I still think it was a smart enough move if you have a poor away history.

Re: the refunds. I emailed FIFA and was told it would be "as soon as possible", which is code for "whenever someone extracts their finger from their hole".
I'm waiting on the best part of 2k, and I'm probably going to lose over €100 on this. $10 x 4 admin fee, plus 2% each way on the international transactions, plus or minus whatever fluctuation in the exchange rates, which will be a bit because of the Germans failure to form a Government. Feck sake. |

I emailed them last Friday too but yet to hear back. Presume same spiel will be thrown back. They'll process when exchange rates are at rock bottom just to be extra sound. Merkel et al better get their act together.

Got an phone call off their call centre in Manchester this morning, also got the 'as soon as possible', pointless phone call.
They said no refunds have been processed yet and they will all be processed at once :s I wouldn't be surprised if it is post world cup when all other invalid TST's are refunded.

Not yet. We'll see. If they reply with bullsh*t, I'm going to send another one giving them three options, asking which is closest:
1) I don't know when you'll get your money, and I don't know when I'll know (the "Rumsfeld"); 2) I don't know when you'll get your money, but we'll know more by x date; or 3) We will be processing refunds as and from x date. |

Oh yeah, I just got it too. Hurray.
It was my sarcastic email what done it. €1,895.50 out - €1,828.82 back in though. Turns out banks are the real robbers. |
