I think people forget that Howe's achievements over a 10 year period are fantastic. Bournemouth were a League 2 side, and he gradually brought them through the leagues, sustaining them in the PL for half a decade. He also had a good bedrock of players like Simon Francis, Dan Gosling, Simon Francis, and Junior Stanislas who were with him for a long time, and had players like Lewis Cook and Callum Wilson become England internationals under his watch.

Probably where is difficulties lay were many of his big ticket transfers were underwhelming. Huge money was spent on Liverpool prospects Ibe and Solanke, who scored six league goals between them, Asmir Begovic was replaced by Ramsdale quickly enough, Danjuma was a £13 Million signing who featured intermittently since joining, and even players like Jermain Defoe and Glenn Murray, who had more to give, never settled at Bournmouth, Gradel's injury didn't help, Lloyd Kelly was an expensive acquisition, that hasn't had the impact needed. In truth, Howe was still very reliant on a lot of the "old guard", and the "new guard" never fit.

I'm not sure though I'd have parted ways unless Howe was the one who was interested in moving on.

Yes Liverpool should be charged with fraud for the money they extorted for Solanke and Ibe.

Seems a little harsh coming off the back of a decent result away to City but they've one win from thirteen games. Allardyce is basically the 'Mr. Fixit' of the bottom half of the PL so you can see the logic in moving to get him in now.

Allardyce 5
Bruce 3
Pardew 4
Hughes 2
Pulis 3
Moyes 2

That's 19 of a possible 42 combinations

Actually Roy Hodgson should also be in Column A, and Blackburn Rovers also in Column B

But that would require a recalculation of numbers
