May 3rd 2016 : wins the PL
February 28th 2019 : becomes unemployable in the PL?

It's a ruthless league.

I'm not sure that you can take those two facts in isolation and draw any conclusions.

Actually, if you look at his (long) record in management, it is very mixed indeed, covering the whole range between Triumph and Disaster:
(See the win percentages table)

And tbh, the longer it goes on, the more the Disasters are beginning to outweigh the Triumphs.

He's 67, surely he's got enough money to be able to retire now, rather than risking tarnishing his reputation with another Fulham or two?

That doesn't mean I didn't come up with it myself.  More than one person can come up with the same ideaShocked

For the record I was out all afternoon.  Got back at 6.30pm logged on and found out he had been sacked on my thread and made the post on the spot.

Creative genius me.

This!

What do they expect and what will they do?

The Championship is a savage division and to be in contention is a remarkable achievement. Bringing in a “Merry Go Round” manager will not make them stronger or more cohesive.

I loved Sven! That is partly I can never bring myself to believe he was a football manager and partly because despite coming  across as incredibly boring he managed to have an intense private life. I also enjoyed the celebrities he created from his love life. There was that Italian lawyer who looked like Pete Burns and that secretary of the FA who didn't fit the stereotype of your average FA 'suit'. Not to mention the chap who became famous for looking like him.

The board have lost patience with him.  Awful performance on Saturday and totally outplayed by no hopers Watford and Wolves.  Fergie shaking his head in the crowd.
