'We will listen to offers if the right offers come. But then they also cannot guarantee wages. Surely if they can't guarantee wages then the players should be simply free to leave?

Bray could easily manage comfortably in the First Division on a less diluted version of how Wexford FC operate.

There's a massive amount of very good junior footballers in the catchment areas of Dublin/North Wicklow/North Kildare who I'm sure would jump at the chance of playing for Bray going forward if the club was properly ran on and off it.

A lot of my friends have played for Wexford FC (some still do) and they only get a few quid in expenses, I'm sure if Bray could even stretch it to 100e/200e plus for certain players they would do fine next season.

What's the plan here? Bray go bust and the seafront gets a new set of apartments for sale?

How much support do Bray get from outside Bray?

Is the name "Bray" too restrictive and limiting their ability to get support from all over Wicklow?

Agree with what is being said above. Bray could easily survive in the First Division.

What exactly would a breakaway fix in this instance?

Is the ultimate onus on Bray to not spend beyond their means?

Still gotta wait the two months of non payments before you can leave for free, if the non payments so far are for the month of June then players can leave for free come end of July. What we don't wanna see happen is Bray paying certain players and then once the window closes just stop paying them, would leave a sour taste as lads need to be out of contract before August to sign with a club once the window closes.

Always thought they should've been called Wicklow Wanderers, as TheBronze would tell you, had Finn Harps been called Ballybofey Harps they'd have been gone a long time ago.

@Oldbilly, The league is breaking away, it was in the news last week.

Exactly. How much support do Cobh get outside of Cobh too?

I'm delighted the teams in the underage leagues are Mayo & Kerry and not Castlebar Celtic & Tralee Dynamos for the same reason.

I know it would be great to have clubs with enriched cultures playing in the league but every club was new once and they are far more likely to succeed with a more broad name.

When I read the story on rte.ie about Sligo sacking their goal keeper coach I was sure the attendance was a typo..

Dreadful number.

The away support accounted for a large portion of the 271-strong crowd in Bray and they vented their anger at the players following the loss to the league's bottom team, whose players have been told they can find other clubs.

Bump on this post from 6 days before the FAI awarded Bray their license, everybody saw this coming but the FAI, they have a lot of questions to answer.

That sounds good given the link up between the two clubs. Any further details at this stage?

Chances of the club being rebranded as St Joeys?

Haven't seen much in it yet so not sure on either front.

Wouldn't rule out a move to St Joseph's Bray or something similar.
