Typical, it took the lazy sh*tes in the FAI 3 years to arrange a game of football.

When is the top lion/ Umbro deals with the fai up? Seems like milking the fans while they are still in instead of waiting to 2024 and marking the 100 of the blue jersey being worn! “Know your history” lol

And they still hadn't a proper set of jerseys ready!!! Saipan on the horizon before a ball was ever kicked in competitive action!

it is absolutely odd marking the century for the FAI by having the jersey that was used in our first game, 3 years later. Why is everything always done in roundabout way.
Playing a game 100 years from our first international wearing the blue jersey, that is definitely something you could get behind

FAI was founded Sept 1921. Thats whats being celebrated here. Not the anniversary of a shirt. By your own logic we'd be celebrating the 100 year centenary 3 years too late. Had there been games in 1921-23, we'd have worn blue, but there were no games due to the civil war and our unrecognized status with FIFA. |

They are reproducing the 88 and 90 shirts without the Adidas logo or trefoil as JC called it on OTB the other morning. Apparently Adidas don't own the copyright. Presume there won't be an umbro logo on it. They're also doing a range based on the umbro World Cup 90 range the likes of England wore.

It’s ok if they want to celebrate their 100 year anniversary with some sort of sales grab. But going with the the strange colour of blue versus a vintage looking green jersey which has been our colour except for the olympics that happened three years later it just seems a bit of a strange choice for me. What they could have done instead is vintage green jersey now. Then in 2024 a blue 3rd kit to mark the 100 year anniversary of our first game when we wore blue. We could even get to play in that shirt too which would be cool

The 1990 Umbro range is the tracksuit I posted above. Taken from JCs own Twitter. And he said theyre teaming up with Scoredraw for the repo shirts. Probably the same ones that have already been available in the past or very similar. They had official FAI Scoredraw shirts for Euro '88 anniversary back in 2013. |

Ah it's a one off jersey to mark 100 years. I don't see the big deal about it

It would damage this forums' reputation

Did he mention scoredraw? Missed that. Meant to say I presume it will be similar to the scoredraw range in the original post, I'm familiar with them. They weren't great tbh.
