Agreed that we don't want Israel. It's also a pain to travel to and even having the stamp in the passport can make things tricky going elsewhere.

There's plenty of good away double header potential in there too, if we avoid Israel. Like Russia and Finland, Austria and Hungary, Austria and Serbia, Austria and Romania, Czech Republic and Hungary, Serbia and Hungary, Serbia and Bulgaria, and Serbia and Romania.

In fairness to the Israelis they've acknowledged everyone hates them and don't stamp your passport, they give you a slip of paper on entrance and exit, was there recently.

Some great potential double headers there.

Or even Hungary from Pot 4 - Turkey are listed in there instead in error.

Wouldn't it have been just typical though if NI & Slovakia had been in separate pots and we got both. LOL Thankfully that can't happen.

Apart from Muslim countries what other countries would give you hassle if you have an Israeli stamp on your passport?
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

I see in the World Cup year they are going to squeeze in the 3rd season of the Nations League as well.

March 2022- World Cup Playoffs and friendlies

June 2022- 4 rounds of Nations League fixtures

September 2022- 2 rounds of Nations League fixtures

October 2022-No international break

November 21st 2022- World Cup starts

Hectic schedule for the players!

“Randolph sends it long…and Shane Long is in behind the German defence… Shane Long against Neuer…. 1-0!.. What a moment!”

Mental alright isn't it. If it was a normal world cup (summer), you'd have 2 NL in Sept, 2 in Oct, 2 in Nov. Looks like UEFA are trying to get their full allotment of internationals plus the winter world cup. Sounds fair enough in theory but normally most players will have June off (only a few selected for WC). Wonder what teams will do with their players who aren't selected for WC from mid-Oct to mid-Dec.

World Cup teams usually arrange friendlies based on the teams in their group, doesn't look to be any dates for that

Also, wonder what the CL/PL schedule will look like, are they gonna start very early (July/August) or end late (June)
