So there are 12 countries to qualify? That's a strange/odd number.

Here are the weeks on which each game will take place - no exact dates and who we will be playing on each date.
• Kosovo and Gibraltar are making debuts among a record 54 teams competing in qualifying. • The nine group winners will qualify automatically for the finals. • The four runners-up with the best records against the teams first, third, fourth and fifth in their group will go into the play-offs and be drawn into two ties to decide the last pair of qualifiers.

me too. Went over the border in 2011 before the Macedonia game but don't really count a country now until I see a football match there. Assume they will be allowed to play U21 games at home. Senior games are played in Albania at the moment. Nice draw. Germany will obviously be strong favourites but hopefully we can challenge for 2nd.

The FAI are willing to settle for less therefore we will probably finish 4th.

would ya go way with kilbane. we should have a proper decent manager with expierence in charge of our u21's. someone like brian mcdermott of the top of my head. hes out of work at the minute, he may not want the job but i'd like to see someone of his like in the job.

How the f**k is King still in that job
Someone like Kilbane would probably be better. Certainly no worse anyway Edited by Denis Irwin - 26 Jan 2017 at 9:56am |

Eamonn Dunphy:"I'll tell you who wrote it, Rod Liddle, he's the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one".

We drew Germany, Israel, Norway, Azerbaijan & Kosovo. Could have been worse. That said would not rate our prospects of qualifying with King in charge.
