Thought it was a lot better from him today. Looked very lively and even thought there wasn’t a whole lot in both penalties both came of him trying to beat a man.

I watched the full game and still don't think he's a PL caliber footballer. Made a hames out of two good chances either side of the half. The second one in particular was cringe-inducing to watch and had Allardyce absolutely fuming. He has no conviction at all. I reckon he'll be back out of the side when Karlan Grant is fully fit again.

What is it about our front players that they can't score? Awful miss there from Robinson ..... Connolly too with a similar attempt at the weekend.

You could put Messi in an ireland shirt and he'd never score again.

And most on here would spent the time dismissing and belittling him whilst bigging up some 3rd gen Irish player on the bench for some L1 side!

Surprised me that he played as well as he did today. Got himself a good assist for the first goal too. Considering he hasn't played for a long time but looked sharp

He was very bright and positive. There is a decent player there.

His best performance in an Ireland jersey, things haven’t been good for him recently at the club but he’s shown there that he can be a good player.

Decent performance considering he hadn't played in so long. Would happily having him in the starting XI going forward. Looks to be able to hold on to the ball in tight spaces.

He did very well but this was his 16/17 appearance and he hadnt done much up until then. How many times have we seen a performance from a player like that then utter pig spunk the next. One game at a time.

The only thing I'd say regarding that is that he's playing under a manager now who will try to get him on the ball as much as possible now, which plays to Robinson's strengths. Instead of basically being given a defensive remit and us hoping he can create something despite not having the ball.

Definitely has that big of quality that stands out. Hard to see how he didn’t make it at Sheff Utd or West Brom (yet)
