Tickets for this are on sale at the moment. thinking of heading over maybe for one game, question is I know for the World Cup tickets can be used to avoid Visas and stuff will it be the same for this?
Also is it only Visa exemptions for participating nations? i.e. seems Ireland aren't there I'd need a Visa or would having tickets regardless of nationality be OK |

I'm a big fan of the Confed Cup. Teams play without any fear and there's always lots of goals as well.
2009 in South Africa was a quality tournament. USA knocking out Spain in the Semi Finals. In 2013, Italy beat Japan in a 4-3 thriller in the Group stage, Tahiti got whipped 10-0 by Spain and 8 or 9 by Uruguay. Brazil beat Spain comfortably 3-0 in the final. Looking forward to this again.

It also had the 4-3 thriller between Brazil and Egypt, Brazil won it with a last-minute penalty. Should be good, there usually are some really good games in it, it'll keep us going anyway for a couple of weeks during what would otherwise have been a boring summer with no world cup or European championship.

Short answer is YES there is a FAN ID (spectator card) which will allow "visa-free entry" to Russia Federation. Welcome2018.ru (Official site to provide Tournament and Travel information for 2017 and 2018) FAN ID portal Using Ticket authorisation number Registration is then possible. It is not based on 'nationals of participating nations'. FIFA.com/ ConfederationsCup2017 section Prices for 2017 RUB (CAT1-4, CAT$ for Russian residents) http://www.fifa.com/confederationscup/organisation/ticketing/prices.html#2857212

Have seen how Russia are providing free rail travel between host cities for ticket holders and it looks to be a good setup. Hopefully they do something similar at next year's world cup

Yeah, they plan on doing the same. Then again, I'm not sure I fancy 36 hours in a seat on a train. I don't know if they'll have beds or not. I might just pay for the ordinary trains and get a bed, if we qualify. Edited by SuperDave84 - 06 Jun 2017 at 2:44pm |

First game in Saransk (which as you might have guessed Ryanair don't service!) 22 hour train journey to our next game in Ekateringburg for the second game. 51 hour train journey then to the 3rd game in Sochi. Someone there pick a random slot in the draw and I'll see if that's an outlier.
