i.e. seems Ireland aren't there I'd need a Visa or would having tickets regardless of nationality be OK

Short answer is YES there is a FAN ID (spectator card) which will allow "visa-free entry" to Russia Federation.
Welcome2018.ru (Official site to provide Tournament and Travel information for 2017 and 2018)

FAN ID portal
Using Ticket authorisation number Registration is then possible.
It is not based on 'nationals of participating nations'.

2009 in South Africa was a quality tournament. USA knocking out Spain in the Semi Finals.

In 2013, Italy beat Japan in a 4-3 thriller in the Group stage, Tahiti got whipped 10-0 by Spain and 8 or 9 by Uruguay. Brazil beat Spain comfortably 3-0 in the final.

Looking forward to this again. Clap
It also had the 4-3 thriller between Brazil and Egypt, Brazil won it with a last-minute penalty. Clap

Should be good, there usually are some really good games in it, it'll keep us going anyway for a couple of weeks during what would otherwise have been a boring summer with no world cup or European championship.
The nation holds it's breath...YES, WE'RE THERE!!!
