    Posted: 17 Jan 2017 at 8:45pm
Have still 15 months left on phone contract with three. Coverage has been non existent the past month. Been onto them a load of times but getting nowhere. Asked to cancel the contract due to lack of service but they want €750 of a termination fee. Horrible shower to deal with and I though sky would never be topped
Anyone ever manage to get a contract cancelled?
Also if I just stop paying bills to them and switch to another network what are the consequences regarding credit rating etc?

Submit a complaint to comreg, I'd trouble with them and complained to them, was quickly sorted, you don't have to close the complaint until you're happy

yeah it's infuriating. Best line was some lad in India telling me that they are replacing a part on the mast with "very strong signal" in the backarse of monaghan getting the runaround the past few weeks. Contemplating just stopping paying my bills and let them go to f**k. Always thought it affected your credit rating but I've been reading that it's only scaremongering. Is that true?

Transfer the bill payment to the post office and pay when you want.

i thonk they can blacklist you with other providers maybe but not sure at all on the credit rating.

Ask Three for an official complaint number, they have to provide this. Emial them as you can print it out. Also request recording or at least the dates and times of calls and try remeber what was said. The more info you can supply ComReg with then the better.

If its your thing maybe, contact them publicly on FB stating the issues and the crap you've gone through. Ive seen it done and it does work. Some people dont like that approach but it works. Watch them crawl and beg you to PM them.

comReg will likely ask if you have a complaint number anyway or if you lodged an official complaint rathervthan just ringing up moaning so to speak. Few screen grabs of no signal pop ups or whne the signal icon is showing no signal wouldnt do any harm either.

Yesterday I think.

Cancel contract and they will let you move straight to a PAYG plan so you dont have to move to a different operator if you dont want to.

Yup, it's all true.

My plan is going from €41 to €45, but I can cancel the contract, keep the phone, and go to sim only on €30 a month

You should call up anyways and push it.Move to a PAYG go plan and then move to Meteor in a few weeks, incase you would be with out a number if you outright cancel.
Not sure what way it works if you ask to cancel plan and dont move ,would they should it down asap or give a few days to sort out a move ?

It's so sneaky. One GB is probably plenty for what roaming will be done on a monthly basis, but it's still pretty sh*tty of them.

still can't get over the fact Hutchinson were given the all clear to buy o2 Ireland. gives those ****s more of a market to f**k over with their non-existent customer service

it's obviously their way to counteract the soon-to-be EU roaming data changes - http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_IP-17-193_en.htm
