I was working in Shannon Airport in the early 2000's and bono flew in from a "cancel the debt" conference in New York. He was very tired and emotional, but luckily he was in first class.

The sink in the first class toilet was blocked when they landed because "someone" put jacks roll in it. All the other passengers got off leaving bono, his wife and a woman who I think was a pa.

While I was clearing out the trap the pa arranged for a limo to collect him and bring him to Dromoland Castle for a bit of a sleep to get over the "jetlag". Ali went on to Dublin on her own. Real rockstar stuff.

Poor guy

Limo not on time

seen them live 3 times since 2015 and excellent all those times but i cant recall any of the other members talking to the crowd only Bono

What was your favourite u2 show you seen ??? Joshua Tree 2017 in Croke Park was mine excellent setlist but the ending was a bit flat ending with a new song (at the time) 'Little Things that give you away'. TBF the start of the show was immense 'Sunday Bloody Sunday', 'New Years Day', 'Bad', Pride (In The Name of Love) and then the full Joshua Tree album

Very few bands have anybody other than the front man communicating with the crowds. It’s their job.

If they even tried it would push poor Bono over the edge.
