Seems like Alliance gains are at SF/SDLP expense whilst the TUV are eating into the DUP vote. Sinn Fein could be the largest party but the overall number of Nationalist/Republican seats will be down, which is a bad thing

Alliance are having a good day and it will get better. Transfers will come from supporters of other parties who vote tactically. SF look unbeatable for top spot with DUP playing second fiddle, TUV vote well up but unlikely to manifest in more than two seats. SDLP and UUP may well fall short of sufficient seats for representation on the NI Executive. We live in interesting times.

Where did she say that? I watched her interview and she avoided talking about Irish Unity as much as possible. Talked about equality, change and helping people.

As an interested observer, just how far back in time does Mr Allister and his TUV party propose to take the people of the six counties ? 1922 ? 1822 ? 1422 ? 22BC ?

I wonder did the match in Glasgow last night have an impact on the poor DUP vote. I'd imagine a good number of their voters were in Glasgow or got sidetracked by the match and didnt get round to voting.

That's the key. Nationalist vote drifting to centre with the fringe hardliners unionist vote ever hardening to TUV was hoping Alliance would eat into unionist vote more so. The pick up alot of sdlp votes Ultimately, this vote is not good. A border poll call from.sf is a bluff. They know they'd lose. I would be very surprised if they even 40% to vote to for unification Pains me to say that |

exactly. while it wouldn't have an arses roars chance of passing in the morning there's every possibility a united ireland could come into existence in the next 20 years. look at the snp... 15 years in power in scotland. won the election convincingly in 2007 and got the ball rolling with independence. they've shifted the dial of those in favour of independence from the low 20s to just shy of 50% (a poll this week has support at 48%). the big issue for nationalists in scotland is they don't have a referendum guarantee baked into an agreement with westminster. no such issue in ni as you say baggio.
