Good effort from Bakino Faso. They'll win it eventually.
I just hope they can replicate their AFCON results into WC qualifiers

This Cameroon must be the worst squad since Germany 2002 to reach a major final

Lovely goal to win it. Great to see Cameroon win it with so many players unavailable to them. Having knocked Senegal out, they are deserved champions imo. Don't think there was any outstanding side come the end of the tourney though.

Thought the winning goal would be penalised for a high foot. I found it weird that they hardly appealed.

Think if the egyptian defender put his hands to his face and fell to the ground, the ref would have given it. I don't think he did anything did he, not even appeal? So he made it very easy for the ref to give the goal the. Lovely tough and finish though

Cuper was over Valencia in '00 and '01 Champions League finals wasn't he? Loved that side

That was him alright, they had a serious team back then. I thought he was just unlucky with the losses, but I was reading earlier he's not exactly the most motivational manager on the big occasions

Have to say fair play to Cameroon, thought Egypt would have won after they went ahead.
Missed second half as power went out in my area. As the commentator said though if they win, the lads who decided not to travel will have a hard time getting back into this team. |

Potential big changes for AFCON. Madness that for African CL some teams have to travel to Europe to get to places. I'd say travel is a nightmare |

Moving to a June tournament makes sense. Will make it easier for the countries to have their big name players involved.

That's one thing on their agenda but supposedly not very high up on it. |
