Erdogan saying he's going to purge the Army for revenge. The event's tonight is like a free pass and go for him to strip their Military of any authority.

Confirmed the hotel he was staying at was bombed, so it was an attempted assassination gone wrong.

Erdogan was getting out of hand. He can't order the arrest of journalists, of any Turk who criticises him, stand by the corruption of his family members running around the cities of Europe as if they own them, without expecting a reaction. He should learn from this slap but of course he'll just become more paranoid and stoke the fires. It's an adolescent democracy that needs to be allowed it's own time to learn. Unfortunately the same mistakes will be made, Turkey won't be allowed that time, things will build towards a civil war with worse idiots taking over.
"Perhaps the reason that they did not consider the worst, was because discussion of such cases would have cast suspicion on the planner as being a "saboteur". Paranoia was rampant throughout."

Periscope isn't banned in Turkey so I've seen live streams from people's phones.

The guy streaming is stuck on the bridge they've barricaded off so there's nothing much to actually see but the sound of gunfire is constant

Absolute nerve on the Turks. Erdogan's comments are a disgrace as well.
Wings? They're only the band The Beatles could have been.

Why do people not living in the country get a right to vote? The laws and taxes won't effect them.

When you are attempting a plantation, it's always important to keep a strong connection to the Capital.

Being backed by Putin. Thought you'd be beacking someone like Erdogan given he's on the far right LD.
Eamonn Dunphy:"I'll tell you who wrote it, Rod Liddle, he's the guy who ran away and left his wife for a young one".

Bill O'Herlihy: Ah ye can't be saying that now Eamonn

Why would I support the Islamic Plantation of Europe?

Are these Islamist planters a problem taking up space on your Dublin bus daily commute LD? Are they waiting on every corner for you?

Ireland is pretty unusual in not allowing ex-pats/emigrants to vote in any elections or referendums.

Turks living abroad can vote in elections, so makes sense that they can also vote on a new constitution.
