this has to be good news, martin only ever got to speak to Mr Rice senior while Declan is willing to sit down with Mick. Mick should bring Cunningham, kilbane, duff and Robbie with him to let Declan know what comraderie there used to be under him and how players looked forward to joining up with the squad rather than what's been on offer for the last few years.

Bringing four former players would be a great way to overwhelm the lad

It'll have dragged on far too long if that's the case, should be sticking to his December timeline.

Theres no better man than Mick to have a sit down with him to talk it out, an English voice with Irish heart and blood. While there was never any doubt in Mick not lining out for us, he'll be able to relate to Rice that bit more being English born. Plus hes a genuine likeable bloke, intelligent and will be able to get the positives points across well.

Ive a lot more confidence in someone like Mick than Martin sitting down with him anyway.

He should bring along Terry Connor as well. A lot of former Irish players who've played under Mick say Terry is very friendly and likeable.

Mick goes nowhere without TC

I thought he was going to decide once he got his contract sorted with the Dildo Brothers?  But since his contract won't be sorted until next summer he can't be allowed to string us  along until then.  sh*t or get off the pot now.

I’m confident enough he’ll stick with us now. Mick as a second generation player and Robbie with his contacts in the game should show him there’s no financial loss playing with Ireland, if that’s what he was wobbling about.

Owl waistcoat Southgate could also pay him a visit and spout BS to him

Really hope Rice stays with us but if he doesn't he doesn't and you have to feel sorry for him whenever he goes against an Irish player lol.

No denying he had his head turned by Southgate.

I quite like Gaz. I'd say he is boring as f**k, but he means well. I'd put my house on him voting Lib Dem.
