Absolutely, yeah.

Might go to Armenia or Azerbaijan this time.

Might even go to Turkey if that new Kars - Tbilisi - Baku rail line is open.

Thinking of Yerevan and overnight train

Yeah I did both Armenia and Baku after the last away game.

Got a taxi between 2 of us from Tbilisi to Yerevan for €40 total - had to bargain like crazy as he started at 150 but we were told by locals we could get it this cheap and just said that was all we had and if not we would take the next "marhrutka" bus.

Watched Armenia get thrashed by Denmark and spent a couple more nights there then got another €40 taxi to Tbilisi airport to fly to Baku (Armenia and Azerbaijan hate each other and the border is closed).

Baku was very cheap - the currency has depreciated by over 100% in the past decade and we got beers for 50c in some places. €40 for a 2 bedroom central apartment IIRC. Tbilisi > Yerevan > Baku was what we both thought FWIW.

I took the overnight train last time. It took 18 hours in total with a nice 3 hour power cut mid journey. The aircon also stopped at this stage. I'd recommend first class berth as its just two people, but was relatively comfortable (TV didn't work though :( ). The border crossing is an experience in itself as the guards board and root through the carriage, belongings etc.!

Push back of Wizzair Luton to Kutasi on Thurs 10th. I know a good few on this flight including myself. Was due departure 16.10 but now 17.15. Means more time for lads getting earlier Dub to Luton flight but later arrival 00.55. Some drinking done on this flight the last time :)

Feck sake. The train to Tbilisi leaves at 01:30 and it's a 20 minute taxi ride away. There was plenty of time before this time change. I don't much fancy having to get the minibus.
