I'd play devil's advocate and say O'Connor almost certainly in a full back role has he has played recently wouldn't have been anywhere near good enough. Think he has promise as a CM mind. Reminded me of Daley Blind at Man Utd in his stature and attributes. 

Good move they are odds on to get promoted to League 1 and a season playing League 1 next year allows him to impress and put himself in the shop window for a move to a Top 10 League 1 club if impressing and Tranmere being the yo yo club they are go back down. Think this is very achievable for him playing as a midfielder. He's still young too plenty time to climb the ranks.

I was surprised he didn't get a chance at Celtic start of the season, but it was two managers who didnt trust him with a start.

I don't think he went in at Tranmere and made the right back position his own. Delighted that he has been doing better in the middle.

Great to see Roughan come over on loan. I've mentioned it before, I think it's definitely something we should see more of. Hopefully it works out for him, he gets loads of game time, put himself in the picture again for the international underage squads
