And now someone has taken our place as the best fans in the world too ffs

They've cleaned up their own capital city after a night out, not a big deal

Ireland have 4 wins right? Or 5?
Does Romania count as a win or a draw?

This really is a transitional phase for us, as I watch Scotland doing some tikitaka around England!

I think there are teams with overall worse players than us (or at least squads which look to be similar in terms of quality). On paper Finland and North Macedonia have squads similar or possibly slightly weaker than ours. There are quite a few teams with slightly (but not massively) stronger squads than ours, where they have 1 or 2 more players of high quality. I'd say Scotland, Austria, the Czechs and maybe Hungary fall into this bracket.

What I have been impressed with is the standard of coaching at all the "lesser" teams in the tournament. Aside from Turkey and maybe Russia most of the middle to low ranking teams have put in cohesive performances in at least one of their games. None of these teams have looked wide open, or devoid of ideas. The players have kept to formations and positions very well in at least one game. Maybe another exception is Poland, but they were caught out in their game with the red card. I think this is an aspect of the game where we would have been far, far behind the other teams.

Watching the Euros I keep thinking every team out there would whack us. Scotland are way above our level, Wales would beat us handily if they turned it on. I was looking at N Macedonia moving the ball around thinking we just don't play with that continuous focus and fluidity.
Time heals all wounds.

I thought Wales were very good too. It wasn't long ago that England beat us with little fuss.

We're pretty terrible at the moment but I haven't been this optimistic about the next couple of years since 2010.

I can never understand the U2 bashing especially towards Bono which is way over the top. When people bring up their tax affairs they haven't a  clue really what they are on about. In general Bono does go on a bit but he has done so much for the poor in Africa and never gets the credit he deserves in Ireland for it.

They are a much better team than 5 years ago.
Add in Felix from AM and Bruno & Jota etc

Group of death tho. I think they are about 10/1 to win it.

Borders change. My home was about 50 metres from the house where Bono grew up. When my folks bought our house it was in Finglas. That same house is now in Glasnevin. We used to get post addressed to us saying it was for one of Finglas, Ballymun, Ballygall or Glasnevin. Bono's folk's house could c be in any one of those areas as it's on the border of all of them.

Paulie f**k off with your facts and don’t hold back a good old Bono bashing 😀😀😀

Bored in work the other day so I tried a diy predictor.
Tricky when you're trying to figure out who might be the best 3rd placed team over 4 groups.

Came to the conclussion that it would be France v Italy + Netherland v Portugal semi final and France beating Portugal in the Final.
Is there any online one to make it easier?
