Don't buy that sh*t Ticketmaster is putting up. If you're looking to pick some up, just get them on the day.

A gate of 30K will reflect well on the league and will look impressive to the couch potatoes watching the game on tv. But will it result in a spike in LOI attendances over the coming weeks?

When Rovers reached the group stages of the Europa, our gates for domestic league games didn`t improve that much. It was only when our group opponents such as Rubin Kazan or Tottenham came to town that the event junkies came out in force.

But anyways, good luck to Dundalk tomorrow night. Let`s hope they stay focused for the 90 mins and keep the tie alive for the 2nd leg.

Our gates for league games weren't much different for the figures for Kazan and Tottenham.

Our Europa League games kicked off at 6pm midweek in Tallaght. There was f**k all event junkies.

From the FAI Facebook:

The day has arrived! Over 28,000 tickets have already been sold as a bumper crowd will be in the Lansdowne Road venue to support Dundalk FC!

Ticketmaster will have 2 vans in place to facilitate remaining sales from 2.00pm onwards; one at the corner of Northumberland Road and one outside Marian College. Tickets are also still available online -http://bit.ly/2baLkdI ‪#‎UCL‬

will finn or mceleney play. it says they are back in contention but who will start or will any of them(fitness wise)? Mceleney should probably get the nod even though i really like Finn as a player.

I'd say there will be a sizable crowd buying at the gate, weather won't help that though

Apparently if Dundalk qualify, LOI clubs will get €3.1m in Solidarity Payments from UEFA, or 155 years worth of FAI Strategic Plan funding if you like.

Think it would only be the Premier Division teams eligible for it

That money would be pissed away fairly quickly in LoI circles.

Got Legia at 10/11 in PP earlier

Agreed.
Any sizeable check coming to the LOI should be earmarked for specific infrastructure projects.
