"The Football Grounds of Europe" about Dalymount that :- "You walk down lanes you'd expect to find a backstreet mechanic only to stumble onto a national stadium steeped in tradition and history"

a good pre season straightener that! Dundalk demise was prematurely anticipated by many, team of monsters that, bohs did well enough though we were well off the fitness displayed by the hosts. Big well done on the coverage lilywhites , your lads a good commentator and Steph Roche was incisive and informative as co commentator, take a bow.

Thought the main difference was just the tiredness setting in towards the end with the lack of changes, obviously with the UCD game being played later. Dundalk were making a lot of changes and it showed.

just over 1,000 memberships this season, incredible
Be interesting to see how many season tickets on top, that’s guaranteed gate receipts this season anyway, great stuff.

Good news again, eight( yes that’s eight) of the bohs/ skb academy players who starred for derek Pender’s u17 winning squad last season have signed their first deals with the club. Youth getting its chance at bfc,and great to see, a load more on the way too, the u15s have at least that many who look the part.

Ye weren't great but it's pre season and seemed more second string so wouldn't be reading too much into it either way!

Young lads and fringe vidic, shows the squad in a healthy light! And as in my other post, the signing contracts of eight of our underage stars is another positive, not a dig at wofuss but we do seem to be bringing in more young talent than the much vaunted roadstone project ATM.long and croly do appear to genuinely take a punt on youth and it's good to see.

Not to detract, but I believe every club had to do this to cover for covid. There's every chance they'd have gotten called up regardless. But things are in a very healthy place there and you're right youth is getting it chance there . I used to live in Drumcondra and then just off Dorset Street so do have a soft spot for Bohs. Was sad when Croly left us, decent coach.

he’s a good lad is Trevor , very willing to talk football and ideas , agree with your point about everyone having to rely on bringing youth through but apart from ourselves who else in the prem?? Rovers for all the noise are still buying it in with 1 maybe 2 tokens in the squad? Maybe div 1 is better ?
