sounded better than the AVIVA sounds on tv...all you can make out usually is the away fans and the occasional beat from an off beat drummer...good result last night but made unnecessarily hard work of it. Very impressed with Jarrett and mccabe

Surely there's a better keeper around than Hourihan, she's looked absolutely awful any time I've watched the WNT (which admittedly is only a handful of times). Apart from the howler for the first goal, nearly every time the ball was passed back to her it was hoofed out for a throw.
Thought Jarrett was excellent, along with McCabe.

The girlfriend went to school in the States with a girl who played for the US underage teams. She has since moved to West Ham and starts for them in the WSL. She's meant to be very good and I would imagine will be starting for the WNT soon enough. She was only called up to the squad for the first time for the Ukraine game and was on the bench on Tuesday night.

Over 77k at Wembley to watch England yesterday which leads to my next question, most of our WNT will never play at the Aviva unless they get to play in a Cup Final. Do you think the WNT should play at the Aviva too? There was a brief discussion on this on the last episode of RTEs soccer podcast.
Greece game is live on RTÉ 2 which is good news.

Women's football is definitely a coming thing. TV ratings were huge for the World Cup during the summer. We're nowhere near the stage yet where the WNT would sell out the Aviva but never say never. Anything might be possible in the next 5-10 years, given how fast the game is growing.

In fairness, the Greeks had come back into it in the last 25 mins and Ireland were defending deep. I'd say Pauw will be a bit annoyed all the same.
