Has anyone booked into a campsite here? Trying to book one but having issues. Hope they are ready for the Irish invasion.

We're booked into Camping le Beaulieu www.camping-la-rochelle.com. 

I got an email from them a while back warning there's a darts tournament in the town that week and that the campsite might be noisy, so they are ready for an invasion of darts players anyway LOL 

There are a couple of other options in the town: 
Camping du Soleil www.campdusoleil.com/en/

Is the train the only viable way down to La Rochelle men? Just looking at it there and unless we were willing to pull on all nighter after the Sweden match and go on the 7am train, looks like it's going to be around €75 - €100 a ticket. Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet before they go up any more.

Looks that way. Had to shell out 60 quid for the 12 oclock train last week. 
My own fault for not getting on them once they were released.
I reckon you're better off shelling out now as I dont think the prices go down for these trains.

We paid €67 for the way down because the time suited but got a bargain €25 return the daythey came online.

There are some resale sites that are generally legit. Don't know what they are called though.

Just got this from my contact in La Rochelle.

There are lots of spaces for camper vans in LR, more than 200 I think
Some in camping sites, some other free spaces around the marina.
One City,One County,One Club GUFC will be back.
